So what is this blog all about-who are you?
I created this blog to offer my perspective of the advertising industry. There is nothing that I am more passionate about than advertising. That’s nothing special really-it seems that just about everyone in this industry has a borderline unhealthy obsession with it. It is as if advertising is some sort of virus with no cure. Once you are infected there is no turning back. But hey, who am I to judge? I’m sick too.
Currently, I am an advertising student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (Go Heels!). I am most interested in the accounts side of the business. I will have to pick a certain department soon but at the moment I am deciding between account management and account planning/strategy. I see my future role in a company as one that dabbles in each department.
Long Story Short: I will be selecting 2 advertising-related stories a week and dissecting them-picking out aspects I enjoy, explaining why the concept works, and giving some background information about the ad/campaign/idea and the agency behind it.

This blog will keep you informed about the advertising industry with 2 short articles a week, help you kill some time when you are searching for something to do on your phone in an awkward moment, and maybe even inspire you to step over to the dark side and become an advertising professional yourself.
